Dear Hiring Manager,

I would like to be considered for the Broadcast Internship with the Minnesota Twins during the 2009 season.

I am currently a senior at Bemidji State University. I will be graduating in May of 2009. I'm in my last semester of full-time studies with only my internship left to complete during the spring semester.

I have many years of broadcast experience which includes radio, television and Internet broadcasting. I have worked on all sides of the business, from selling advertising to producing a state-wide program to starting up my own game broadcast company. I have done soccer and hockey play-by-play and also anchored the sports during a newscast. I feel that my well-rounded and vast skills would be an asset to the Minnesota Twins broadcasts on either the radio or television side.

I am a Minnesota native who spent most of my years growing up in the Twin Cities. I've been a Twins fan all my life and grew up listening to game broadcasts on WCCO radio with my mom. Besides both World Series Championships, one of my favorite sports moments was making the trip out to Cooperstown, NY when Kirby Puckett was inducted into Baseball's Hall of Fame in 2001. It was my admiration for Kirby that I started collecting baseball cards in 1985 and I later named my cat after him.

Thank you in advance for your consideration. It has been a lifelong dream of mine to work for my favorite sports team, the Minnesota Twins. It would be an honor to work with your broadcast team.

Best regards,

Kelly Schultz
